This means we are able to offer the Bristol community cheaper car rentals.

Car Sharing involves two sets of people (vehicle owners and renters.) Owners rent their cars to members of the Bristol community, who pay a fee for the usage.

With two sides of the coin, there are benefits for both parties.

For renters these benefits are numerous. You get to rent the car you choose, the vehicles are located throughout Bristol and insurance and maintenance are all included in the price. This makes it convenient, quick and hassle free.

For owners, car sharing presents a useful stream of secondary income and given that owners don’t need to physically be present to hand over keys or do any administration, it’s as stress-free as passive income gets.

Bristol is situated in South West England and borders North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Back in the Anglo-Saxon days Bristol was known as a town called Briss Stow, meaning ‘the meeting place at the bridge’ in old Saxon.

Surprising, Bristol also has its own currency. The Bristol pound is a form of local, community currency launched in September 2012. It was formed to encourage people to spend money with local businesses within Bristol, and is backed by the Sterling.

Today with a population nearing half a million, Bristol is becoming a popular tourist destination and wonderful place for local and international travelers to visit. If you are visiting Bristol, rent a car from members of the community and

If you are new to Bristol there are plenty of things to do in and around the city, particularly if you rent a car. We have put together five of our favourite Bristol related activities:

Clifton Suspension Bridge: Rent a car in Bristol and head out toward the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It’s truly a masterpiece of design, ingenuity and engineering. Driving over this iconic bridge from Clifton Village to Lea Woods is exhilarating, no matter how many times you’ve driven the route, this fabulous structure never fails to inspire.

Visit the Downs: Stretching from the top of Whiteladies Road all the way to the Suspension Bridge, this wonderful green space (the Downs) are fondly referred to as the lungs of Bristol city. Escaping to this stunning area, the Downs has been helping Bristolians feel miles away from the city for generations.

Get Cultured: Bristolians love culture – and there’s little more enlightening or intellectually invigorating than good old-fashioned theatre. Delving into dramatics is easy in Bristol with many playhouses and auditoriums of all types to choose from.

See Amazing Graffiti: One of the best things to do in Bristol is explore one of its most famous cultural exports – street art. Murals come to life on shop shutters and public walls, Bristol is covered in graffiti. Multiple street tours are available so just ask a local member of the community for help finding one.

Take a ferry: Hop on a boat and see Bristol city from the water. The Bristol Ferry Boats operate waterbus services 364 days a year, they allow you to jump on and off as needed from Bristol Temple Meads train station to the SS Great Britain. Bristol Packet Boats also offer guided tours around the harbor.
