The entire renting process takes place through our mobile app. Every single vehicle on our platform is instantly bookable, which means you will only ever be shown cars that are actually available when you need them.
Once you have selected your vehicle and verified your licence, you are free to pick up your car and start driving. Your phone will act as a virtual key to lock and unlock your car, thanks to our KarshareGo technology.
Each vehicle will contain a sanitisation kit to help you manage the cleanliness of the car at the end of your rental and return it in the same condition you found it in.
When it’s time to start your booking, head to your car’s parked location
Go through the guided pre-rental checks with your phone’s camera
Lock and unlock your car using facial recognition in the Karshare app
Return the pick-up location after your rental concludes and sanitise the car according to our Covid safety guidelines
All our renters are protected by fully comprehensive insurance, provided by our insurance partner, QBE. Our standard insurance excess is £750, but you can reduce it to £250 by paying a £25 insurance fee. This means that you will only pay a maximum of £250 if you cause damage to the car.
48 hours before your booking, we will also take a deposit of £250 to cover any additional charges after your rental. This will be returned to you within 48 hours of the end of your rental booking.
If a claim for damages is made by the car owner, we will investigate using the condition report to settle the case. We will always return your deposit unless we are certain you caused damage to the vehicle during your booking.
