How do renter referrals work?

Karshare will reward users when they invite others to join the platform. You can earn rewards by joining us using a friend’s invite link and then sharing your own referral link to friends and family who are looking to rent with Karshare.

Once you use your friend’s referral link to join Karshare, 20 Karshare Credits (worth £20) will be added to your account. These credits will be automatically applied at checkout, giving you a £20 discount off your first rental.

After you’ve completed your first rental, the person who referred you will then receive a £20 reward in their account.

What are Karshare Credits?

Karshare Credits can be used to receive discounts on rental bookings. They’re applied automatically at the checkout and will reduce the total rental cost. Each Karshare Credit is worth £1 in discounts, so if you have 20 Karshare Credits, you will receive £20 off your next rental.

You can earn Karshare Credits by inviting friends and family to use Karshare through our referral scheme. There is no limit to the amount of Karshare Credits you can earn through renting cars with us and referring friends. If you have accumulated £50 in Credits, and your next booking is worth £50, you will get that booking for free.Learn more

How many Karshare Credits can I earn?

There is, however, an expiry date on Credits. Unused Karshare Credits will expire after 12 months from the date you earned the Credit. You can keep an eye on your Karshare Credits in your account information.

What happens if my booking is cancelled?

We treat our Karshare Credits just like regular money. If your booking is cancelled by the car owner and you made the booking using Credits, we’ll return them to your account with the original expiry date.

If you cancel your rental booking, you will receive a full, partial or no refund in Karshare Credits, according to our cancellation policy.
