What we do
Karshare is the UK's first car sharing platform aimed solely at serving communities within their neighbourhoods and at airport locations.
We give car owners the opportunity to earn extra income while those in need of a car can quickly and easily rent one from their local community.
Our drive
Through car sharing, we are creating a more sustainable, shared future, where having a car can be seen as a choice, not a necessity.
We don’t own vehicles or pay for parking spaces – we are entirely community-led.
Our smart technology and contactless process combined with a mission to empower local communities will help to define our tomorrow and enable a world to do more, with less.

Travellers park and share at Gatwick Airport
Did you know the average car in the UK sits unused 96% of the time? With 38 million vehicles parked on our streets, Karshare is unlocking a huge fleet of vehicles through community car sharing.
It is our purpose to create a world where we never have more cars than we need, through community car sharing. We have a vision to power the move the net zero by making it easy to use a car without owning one.
Our unique KarshareGo technology is a keyless module, which is installed in all our vehicles, enabling renters to instantly book, locate and safely unlock their car via our app using facial recognition. No queues, no counters, no hidden costs: all our rentals are hassle-free and entirely contactless.
KarshareGo also includes driver telematics, which generate a score to help our community drive safely and keep an eye on mileage and fuel consumption during each rental.
Karshare wouldn't be possible without the strong support and guidance of our investors. Strategic investors include Fullbrook Thorpe and a number of influential angel investors. Adjuvo, the UK investment syndicate, also provides great guidance through a board observer position. Other key investors include Founders Factory, co-founded by Brent Hoberman and the 660 individuals who have invested as part of the recent Seedrs crowdfunding campaign.
